Fellwood Leves
intro.
In the wake of the calamity, the Coerthan Central Lowlands was left abandoned. Its wastes were deemed uninhabitable, corrupted, forfeit. Until the reconstruction of Revenant's Toll, the Holy See and its neighbors had believed there were no survivors in the settlements of those lands. It takes a special kind of willpower to survive in a place so frighteningly beautiful, and such strength is bound to wane sooner or later. From the village of Fellwood, or what remains, a conjurer seeks the help of adventurers to provide a balm to the damage that remains of their settlement. Fellwood's levemetes offer specialized levequests, unauthorized by the Holy See, that are both exceptionally rewarding and uniquely challenging.Seek out a plate, carry out the duties, and let the wilds of Coerthas decide if you are worthy enough to claim your prize. The settlement is not liable to any injuries or deaths incurred whilst on duty.

Deals in themes and lore from current FFXIV as well as 1.0 FFXIV
lore compliant . 21+ . discord: available on request

rule i. 21+ We will not rp with anyone under the age of 21. Please respect this.
even if it doesn't need to be said, it'll be said anyway. we are not the characters. ic and ooc are separate, please respect this, and let us know if this'll be an issue.
darker themes, more morally-ambiguous topics are fine. we explore the morally dubious, creepy, obscure, and grittier parts of ffxiv's world and story. there are a few hard no's for topics that we'll allow when it comes to things that will make players uncomfortable, but those will be mentioned if they come up.
we won't engage in nsfw topics or scenes focusing on nsfw. these characters operate on a more professional level during these events. for further interactions, refer to the characters' respective carrds. rule ii. in-game v. discord
these events are held in-game and discord rp will not be available for this content. as most of the levequests use in-game dungeons or overworld maps, they are not conducive to a discord environment without an egregious amount of screenshots, detailed mapping, and needless effort.
if this is an issue, please seek connections elsewhere. rule iii. if you see us in-game and like what you see from the carrd, feel free to send us a tell!
usually if our levemetes are in-game, they may have the time to respond to a tell or two. should it be necessary to answer any questions, one of our levemetes can dedicate time to talk more thoroughly. rule iv.
lore compliant/bending ✔
lore breaking ✘
we have a fondness for the pieces learned in 1.0's lore, if that is a concern, let us know! same goes with lore bending, with topics like the missing parts of Coerthas, soulstones, and spiritbonding, and other in-game places and mechanics, not everything is entirely fleshed out. we are alright with mild lore bending, granted that you don't expect our characters' lore to change to fit yours. if the amount of lore bending being done is outside our comfort-zone, we will be sure to let you know.
voidsent, garleans, light echo users, and the like are fine.
though we will hard pass on things such as warriors of light and high power-fantasy characters.
things that fall under the category of lore-breaking are a hard no. rule v.
keeping stuff vague
while we may mention bits and pieces hinting towards individual characters' overarching stories and past, it is not required for your character to actively interact with such things. though if more in-depth interactions are wanted, we don't mind as long as it's natural and reasonable!
we prefer the method of learning stuff ic versus having the information at hand and then not mentioning it.
we use this guideline when rping with others for the first time. we tend to only look at the basic info, hooks and ooc guidelines. anything past that, are avoided for the most part.
we're Looking for:
themes.
as mentioned before, we explore darker storylines.
rp with themes such horror, mystery, and overall adventure the kind of general themes to expect. paired with our morally dubious levemetes, don't expect entirely pure-hearted or good intentions. longterm.
frequent and consistent meet ups / some sort of continuous narrative or plot.
while the latter is not required for those not interested in a formal narrative, we are looking for regulars to take on our events. adventurers/hunters.
again, we are mainly looking for adventurer-type characters.
as our events take the form of levequests and bounties, other character archetypes simply won't fit without excessive concessions. within reason, we are willing to accept other kinds of characters, but we will prioritze adventuring types.
we are also welcoming of groups or small free companies, these levequests do not have to be taken on by one person alone.

the mission.
In a realm as large as this one, there will always be those who are looking for someone willing to assist them with their troubles. Instead of doing the searching on themselves, civilians often come to a local guild or similar organization to have their petition documented. These petitions are soon called levequests, sanctioned and insured by the city-state.Fellwood, being abandoned in the calamity, does not have that option. For ease of access, however, the practice is continued. Plates with details on its corresponding request and client are passed to an adventurer, to be turned in for a reward upon completion.Even if these requests are not, by purest definition, levequests, the predominant parties presenting the tasks refer to themselves as levemetes.

levemetes:
where.
Iriana can be found posted in various locations throughout Coerthas and Dravania. She often rotates locations based on the leves she has on hand, preferring to be nearer to where the request is based in.
name | Iriana Vaulo | territory | coerthas/dravania |
gender | cis female (she/her) | race | highlander, Hyur |
about.
Fellwood's resident conjurer and makeshift chirurgeon, this levemete focuses most of her attention on maintaining the village and its surrounding borders. She and her roggo familiars often deal with the worst of the dangers and issues surrounding the former logging town. Adventurers can expect to pick up both battlecraft and fieldcraft leves from her in equal measure, requests doled out with a smile and perhaps a cup of tea if she's feeling especially hospitable. Adventurers can also expect her battlecraft leves to be generally more difficult and treacherous than any of the other leves.

where.
It's easy to stumble across Ophelia. The Shroud being her usual haunt. Typically she can be found near many of the regions major aetherytes, and especially as a patron of the odd tavern or two.
name | Ophelia Dawn | territory | the black shroud |
gender | cis female (she/her) | race | duskwight, Elezen |
about.
Iriana's closest friend and confident.
Miss Dawn's usual offers are for that of 'grocery shopping', treating these leves as her own personal list. Her goods often consist of a varying array of the Shroud's local fauna. Though her leves are simple in execution, she herself is very particular on the quality of her wares. These are the perfect tasks for any upcoming, fresh faced adventurer. She primarily hands out fieldcraft leves.

where.
Only speak to him if he is in the Toll or other varying settlements in Mor Dhona.
If one sees him anywhere else, they should just mind their own business.
name | Decius Vendelin | territory | mor dhona |
gender | cis male (he/him) | race | rava, Viera |
about.
A man who begrudgingly serves as Iriana's retainer. Decius is aloof and prone to sudden mood swings, his prolonged bouts of glaring and overall arrogance are all mostly for show. His role is to hand out the leves his lady assigns all while within the confines of the Toll. Asking after anything more than his menial tasks is entirely out of his pay grade. The leves distributed by the viera vary greatly in terms of difficulty. Primarily the ones offered are a mix of battlecraft and fieldcraft. Some are a simple fetch quests.. And the rest may make one question if the payout is worth the risk.

overview.
The town of Fellwood offers two types of levequests in accordance to what the citizenry require: Battlecraft and Fieldcraft Leves. At any given time there will be a minimum of three levequests available amongst the levemetes to dole out. It is not uncommon for one or more levemetes to have none whilst the others pass out the majority of the plates. battlecraft v. fieldcraft.
Listed below are the official designations of the levequest types:
Battlecraft Leves are intended for Disciples of War or Magic, as they most often involve the slaying or pacification of a target. After completing the objectives, adventurers will return to the levemete they acquired the levequest from to receive their reward.
Fieldcraft Leves are intended for Disciples of the Land, and require that the proper tools be equipped before initiation. Upon returning the required items to the levemete who officiated the request, a reward will be given based on the quality of the harvest.
ooc mechanics.
These levequests simply serve as prompts for an individual or group to use for their own roleplay purposes! Some levequests include hosted excursions whether it be via an escort mission or an exploration into some closed off ruins.
Whether or not a solitary or group-based levequest can turn into a hosted one is up to the player! We'll control mobs and other obstacles in a similar style to dungeons and dragons.
Making use of simplified dice roll rulesets (advantage, disadvantage, d20 v. d6 v. d2) there can be the option for an added element of instability to make the quest more enriching for the player. basic rulesets.
General AC for most players is 13, meaning all enemies or attacks must roll higher than 13 via a d20 roll in order to hit. If the player has advantage, they have the option to dodge, which is done by rolling higher than the enemy. Enemy AC is individualized and may vary based on the encounter.
Advantage v. Disadvantage is decided on a situational basis. A character's skillsets and strengths/weaknesses can be used to turn the tide of the encounter.
All rolls are to be conducted in-game via the /dice command in a party chat.
current levequests:
notice.
Available Levequests are subject to change and can reappear as the village's stores and needs dwindle or exacerbate themselves.
